Audioblizz
Project Audioblizz is the undertaking of myself alone to bring the novels of the three franchises of Blizzard Entertainment-Diablo, StarCraft, and WarCraft-and perform them as audiobooks. There are currently, as far as I know, only two officially licensed audiobooks from these franchises: World of WarCraft: Stormrage by Richard A. Knaak and StarCraft II: Heaven’s Devils by William C. Dietz. These are the only two novels I know for certain I will not be performing for Project Audioblizz.
My reasoning for this project is twofold: the first is the selfish hope that I may garner a reputation for myself and ultimately benefit my career, and the second is to bring these books to those that would read them in a more readily accessible way. For example, players of these games will be able to listen to these audiobooks while playing.
While this project might seem a strange fit on my personal website, I do not feel comfortable placing it under the banner of OMFG or The Donut Boys. Firstly because of the aforementioned selfish reasons that are a driving force behind this project; the less separation between my identity and the performance, the better on that front. Second, though, because I am fully aware that this project may infringe upon copyright laws that I do not wish either of those organizations to deal with in the future. My hope is that these audiobooks will be seen as what they are: tributes to the authors and creators of the original works, but one can never be too careful.
All those who listen to my performances here are entrusted with investing in the original printed versions of these novels to give credit where it is due. And to those who do own the copyrights on these novels, I ask that if you take offense to my proceedings, all you need do is write me or call me and request that I remove the performance from my site, and I will do so with haste.
All that said, let us begin Project Audioblizz.
